Vincenzo Bennardi was born in Fasano on 14 July 1975. Since he graduated in Architecture in 2003 he has been living and working in Florence as an architect and designer. In 1997, he was one of the 10 young founders of the Cesia Association – a centre of IT studies for art, a non-profit cultural association that promotes the research and the enhancement and conservation of cultural assets using IT and multimedia methods, as well as disseminating and planning art projects through new forms of digital communication. With the association, Vincenzo devises and works with others on projects, studies and cultural events. Following some restoration work carried out in the ancient Rione dei Sassi area in Matera, he has been dedicating an increasing amount of his efforts to what really is the love of his artistic life: design. He does this with a fundamental philosophy in which the core element is the close relationship between nature and design ideas, hence his new personal concept of "playing around with natural objects while respecting the nature of those objects”. Thus, he takes a particularly close, detailed look at areas pertaining to sustainable architecture, the naturalness of shapes, the search for natural materials, the bond with technology.
His relevant, carefully tailored personal experience has brought Vincenzo close to a setting he was immediately struck by and that awakened his enthusiasm and desire to search for new shapes, functions and styles: the bathroom. The years 2005 and 2006 were marked by a whole host of experiences.
